About A FARMER'S ROOTS AND BRANCHES
Please sign in to see more.
My name is Naomia Pauline Farmer. I was born in Borger
Texas in 1934. I had the most wonderful parents in the
world, and a very onery brother 5 1/2 yrs old. Later at
the age of 5,I would be blessed with a beautiful sister.
But in January prior to her birth in July, playing with
campfire, I poured gas on it, and was seriously burned. It was touch and go for several weeks as to whether I
would survive. Much prayer is responsible for me being
alive and well to this day. After many months in the
hospital and several surgeries, I was permitted to return
home. Then I see my new sister for the first time that
was born while I was away. I lived in a hospital bed and
my parents were told I would never walk again. One night
God gave mother a dream, and she woke my daddy to give
him some instructions for what they must do to correst
my problem. My left leg was drawn all the way up under
my butex. Mother had daddy go outside, to gather a syrup
bucket of pebbles. While I was sleeping she tied a torn
sheet around my ankle, and ran it down and off the end
of the bed. She then tied empty syrup bucket to the other
end. She set the pebbles at the foot of the bed. Then every
couple hours or so she would place a pebble in the empty
bucket, one day the bucket was full and my little crippled
leg was laying flat on the bed. She had daddy find just
the right size board and wrapped it in sheets and placed
it under my leg. With sheets she had already prepared into
little rolls she tightly wrapped my little leg onto the
board. They put me in the car and took me to the doctors
office, and he put a cast on it, asking mother how this
happened. She told him. I've alway beleived he probably
got wealthy off of her dream, because traction for such
things are now in place today, and have been for many
years. After ,any, many, surgeries and through the years,
I have walked, I have ran, I went to school, I did have
doneeverything children do, I grew up and got married, had children, and grandchildren, now great grandchildren. I
live a joyous, happy, devoted life now serving my Lord my
Savior Jesus Christ. Now I put this family tree together,
all because of a God given dream. Just call me, Polly!
